The fully scalable 1/8-DIN panel-mount tachometer can operate in tachometer, flowmeter, process time span and elapsed time modes allowing it to monitor various process speeds, rates and time applications when combined with a compatible process speed sensor. It is suitable in automation applications such as machining operation timing, conveyor speed, motor output, volumetric flowrate, and elapsed time of oven curing.
The unit accepts multiple sensor inputs such as NPN open collector, contact and square, or sine wave signals. Optional outputs (analog, relay, NPN open collector) are available for additional automation control. An added teaching function auto-scales the display by inputting the sensor’s signal; saving on manual programming time.
Other features include an auto zero function which zeros the display after final signal initiates a preprogrammed time countdown and a test mode to check operational performance of the display and keys. Integral sensor power source eliminates need to purchase a separate power supply.
