The Environmental Express zero headspace extractor is for toxic characterization leaching proceedure (TCLP) analysis; EPA method 1311. The system will not pressurize unless completely assembled. The piston is pushed up and gas is collected in a Tedlar® bag or a gastight syringe. A pressure gauge monitors the filtration pressure. Finished extract exits through a 316 stainless steel plug on the top plate.
