Standard TCLP Filters are ideal for analyzing semi-volatile and volatile organics, and nonmetal inorganics. These filters are tested for wet burst strength and flow rate.

Acid-Washed TCLP Filters are made specifically for evaluating the mobility of metals. They are prepared in a consistent procedure which reduces blank variability and typically provides lower background metals levels than are achieved with on-site filter preparation. These filters are washed in 1 N HNO₃ acid and then rinsed three times with copious amounts of deionized water. Each rinse uses more than one liter of deionized water per filter. The filters are then oven dried at 105°C prior to final conversion.

Each box of acid-washed TCLP filters is supplied with an independent certification of preparation warranting that the filters were prepared by Method 1311 protocols and gives demonstrated background TCLP metals levels.

Standard filters are binder-free, and have low trace metal content.
