Labconco Filtered Balance Systems

Minimize risk of exposure to toxic powders and fumes while maintaining accurate balance readings

These space-saving, self-contained balance systems feature an air foil to keep you safe while working with hazardous materials. The built-in blower and HEPA filter save space, making them perfect for tight areas or locations where ductwork is not available. The HEPA filter removes 99.99% of particles 0.3-micron or larger. Negative pressure design ensures that if a leak develops, unfiltered air is filtered before release. Unique bag-in/bag-out filter disposal system provides safe filter replacement without exposing you to contaminants. Cabinet design minimizes electrostatic effects and vibration to enable precise weighing results.
Enclosures are constructed of an epoxy-coated aluminum frame, and steel rear plenum and baffle. Top-mounted blower with speed control and HEPA filter reduce space requirements, no separate filtered exhauster or outside ventilation needed. Sash and sides are made of 1/4"-thick tempered safety glass, providing better resistance to fire and chemicals than acrylic. Units with 30" interior depth include a mounted waste chute. Two utility ports are included for cords, cables, and tubing.
Models with deep 23-13/32" interior depth provide easy loading of analytical balances; the deeper 30” models handle larger equipment. Ergonomic, angled sash pivots upward offering a 19" loading height on the 2-, 3-, and 4-ft models, while the 5- and 6-foot models have a gas-assisted lift and loading height of 27-45/64".
Choose enclosures with an optional airflow monitor to alert you of face velocities outside of a preset range. Models with no monitor include a front-mounted pressure gauge, which indicates loading of the HEPA filter. The Guardian airflow monitor provides continuous airflow monitoring of airflow with a LED monitor that stays green within the set range; LED changes to red and an audible alarm sounds if airflow is out of range. The Guardian 1000 Digital airflow monitor features a digital display of the airflow at face velocity and a RS-232 interface for data transmission to your computer; the monitor provides an audible and visual alarm if the airflow is outside the preset range.
