Choose from Butterfield’s Phosphate Buffer or Phosphate Buffer with Magnesium Chloride.

Butterfield’s Buffer contains monobasic potassium phosphate and is used extensively in the food, dairy, and pharmaceutical industries to ensure the stable pH during the testing process and does not interfere with microbial growth. Offered in 90 ml and 99 ml volumes for easy 1:10 and 1:100 dilutions. Butterfield’s buffer is recommended as a general diluent in laboratory procedures by the Federal Drug Administrations and in the Bacteriological Analytical Manual. It is recommended by APHA for the recovery of injured microorganisms from dairy and food samples.

Phosphate Buffer with magnesium chloride is used as the diluents for the preparation of dilutions in plate counts in the dairy and food industries. This product is prepared according to Standard Methods for the Examination of Water and Wastewater for use in water testing. It Contains deionized water, monopotassium phosphate, and magnesium chloride.
