More About this Item

Optimize performance of your Cole-Parmer® Freezer/Mill® grinders with a wide range of vial sets suitable for your application.

Zirconia ceramic vial offers extremely high resistance to abrasion, wears very slowly, and results in little contamination. Highly efficient material is about one and one-half times as dense as alumina yet grinds almost as fast as steel. Ideal for grinding hard, brittle samples to an analytical fineness in the Mixer/Mill® grinders. Vial is great for blending powders and mixing emulsions and is suitable for slurry grinding.

Hardness: Mohs 8 ½; Rockwell R45N 74-79; Knoop 1160
