Diaphragm seals protect the pressure gauge against highly caustic and corrosive fluids and prevent clogging associated with suspended solids or highly viscous fluids—reducing downtime. Stainless steel (SS) diaphragms provide higher psi ratings; PTFE and FKM diaphragms have a lower psi rating. Glycerin fill in gauges help dampen pulsation and vibrations in heavy-duty process applications, as well as continually lubricating the gauge movement.
