More About this Item

Amprobe has brought together the AM-420 digital multimeter, VP-1000 noncontact voltage detector, and ST-102B socket tester with GFCI so you can quickly and safely perform electrical voltage testing—ideal for residential applications.
The DMM measures AC/DC voltage up to 250 V, DC current, and resistance. Additional features include battery testing (of 1.5 and 9 V types), data hold, audible continuity, and diode test. Easily troubleshoot light bulbs, fuses, and detect voltage.
The LED in the tip of the pen-style noncontact voltage tester glows red in the presence 90 to 1000 volts so you can quickly verify whether outlets, switches, extension cords, circuit breakers, and fuses are live—without disconnecting the electrical system.
The socket tester with GFCI detects five common wiring faults including open ground, open neutral, open hot, hot/ground reverse, and hot/neutral reverse for both standard and GFCI outlets. Three illuminated lights provide a pattern to indicate which fault, if any, exist. The legend for the light patterns is clearly labeled on the tester.
